The students were required to have the following elements in their final project, all of which were due by noon on Thursday, December 4, 2014:
- A 4-page essay that analyzes the questions appended to a short primary source, of the student's own choosing, found in the class textbook Women and the Making of America, the combined volume, written by Mari Jo Buhle, Teresa Murphy, and Jane Gerhard.
- A particular quote that was most relevant to understanding the primary source, with a couple of sentences explaining why it is relevant to the questions they are exploring in their essay, as well as how the quote may be revealing of the author’s ethnic, race, religious, or class identity.
- A multimedia gallery (of at least five items) that includes images, videos, or audio files that are relevant to understanding the topic, primary source, or author.
- Lastly, at least a couple of sentences under each item in the gallery explaining the significance of each to the topic, primary source, or author.
Thank you to all the students who participated and shared their research with us.
